Joyce Washington is a Managing Partner with QLK. Joyce has a distinguished executive career with over 25 years of experience in general management and healthcare systems, including public and private hospitals. She utilizes a proactive and engaging leadership style to consistently drive results in an ever-changing industry while consistently applying leading-edge business solutions to deliver improvements in revenue and profitability.

She began her career as an RN at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia and Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC where she quickly moved to C-suite positions. Her industry niche includes acute healthcare, ambulatory, and psychiatric with emphasis on hospitals including components of executive search. She has directed strategic and tactical efforts for several world-class healthcare organizations. Also, she has successfully held a variety of executive-level positions, including Vice President, Advocate Health Care, Vice President and COO, Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center as well as CEO positions with HCA. Joyce operates her own healthcare consulting business as well.

Her professional expertise has helped her form relationships with her clients, legislators, and business and community leaders at the federal, state and local municipal levels. These relationships have led to the successful passing of critical legislation and partnerships that are benefiting the citizens of Illinois in areas of healthcare, economic development, education and public safety. She, along with the American/Illinois Cancer Society team, influenced the passage of the Illinois Smoke Free Legislation.

Joyce is a member of several not-for-profit boards, including Chairperson of Advocate South Suburban Hospital Board of Governors, DuSable Museum Board of Directors and Woodlawn Community Development Corporation Board. She is also a member of Chicago Economic Club and The Chicago Network. Appointed by three consecutive Illinois Governors, she is a former member of the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board and the Illinois Hospital Association Board of Directors.

Joyce has a BS degree in nursing from the University of Evansville and an MS degree in public administration from Indiana State University.
