Vice President, Client Relations & Business Development

Mike Quick serves as the inaugural Vice President of Client Relations and Business Development for Quick Leonard Kieffer. In this capacity, he leads the firm's business development, sales, and marketing efforts, working with senior management and managing partners to implement and maintain systems, processes, and methods that promote strong client relationships, service excellence, and a culture of business development. By focusing on proactivity and consistency, Mike ensures that the value proposition of the firm remains strong. Mike serves as an ambassador of QLK, linking its top-notch people, work, and relationships to enhance and build QLK's brand and reputation at the local, regional, and national levels. His skill in communication and relationship building, both within and outside of the firm, ensures strong connections that benefit clients and candidates alike. Mike is also accountable for quality control, and his active pursuit of best-in-class practices and trends in healthcare and search ensures that QLK continues to offer the best possible service.

Prior to his promotion to the vice president role, Mike served QLK as Principal for five years, collaborating with the firm's partners, principals, and associates to execute retained searches for CEOs and C-suite executives in hospitals, healt h systems, academic medical centers, medical groups, health associations, and life science companies. In this work, he was recognized for his client responsiveness and ability to adapt to changes and challenges. Mike built a strong knowledge base regarding the search process – securing clients, delineating job accountabilities and ensuring cultural fit, developing candidates, and managing client decision-making and expectations.

Surrounded by executive search since birth, Mike has a strong familiarity with the facets and dynamics of the field. Among other strengths, he has an innate ability to identify opportunities – for clients, for candidate, and for the firm – paired with well-honed communication skills that serve his ultimate goal of facilitating the development of partnerships that are mutually beneficial to all stakeholders.

Mike holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Kansas and worked in a variety of film and television production roles in Los Angeles, California earlier in his career.
