Position: Assistant Vice President of Compensation

Since the founding of the medical school in 1902 and North Carolina Baptist Hospital in 1923, Wake Forest Bap- tist Health has grown into a nationally recognized aca- demic medical center and healthcare system, operating as an integrated enterprise of educational and research facilities, hospitals, outpatient clinics, emergency and urgent care centers, diagnostic units, physician practic- es, and a commercialization division to bring innovative technologies to the bedside.

WFBH is a regional healthcare system anchored by the 885-bed tertiary care hospital and campus in Winston-Sa- lem. This campus is home to the adult and pediatric Level I trauma centers and burn center, the 144-bed Bren- ner Children's Hospital, and a 167-bed Comprehensive Cancer Center, and serves patients in northwest North Carolina and southwest Virginia. In addition to the main campus, the network encompasses four community hospitals: the 50-bed Wake Forest Baptist Health Davie Medical Center in Davie County, the 351-bed Wake Forest Baptist Health High Point Medical Center in Guilford County, the 94-bed Wake Forest Baptist Health Lex- ington Medical Center in Davidson County, and the 130-bed Wake Forest Baptist Health Wilkes Medical Center in Wilkes County. Through a joint venture, Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital and Wake Forest Baptist acquired Alleghany Health, a 25-bed critical access hospital in Alleghany County, in 2018. Wake Forest Baptist also op- erates three urgent care centers; the emergency departments at more than a dozen community hospitals; ma- ternal-fetal and neonatal units; freestanding dialysis, imaging, and endoscopy facilities; and, with Wake Forest Health Network's community practices, more than 232 primary and specialty care clinics.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Vice President of Total Rewards for Wake Forest Baptist Health (WFBH), the Assis- tant Vice President of Compensation will work closely with Wake Forest Baptist Health (WFBH)'s HR leadership team to lead the organization's compensation strategy and framework across the entire enterprise. This role will design, implement, and lead compensation programs and practices that are driven by the organization's mission, vision, values, and long‐term business strategy. includes ensuring competitive market pay for all levels of the organization, including executive compensation. Ensures a pro-active approach to providing market driven compensation programs related to both base pay and total cash compensation.
