ASA has a multi-tiered governance structure. The direction of the organization is led by our Administrative Council (AC). The AC is composed of the 12 officers of ASA. They are the official planning body of the ASA. Besides that, there is a board of directors, an executive committee and a house of delegates.

Job Description:

Reporting directly to the CEO and working in collaboration with the elected Vice President Professional Affairs, the Chief Quality and Practice Economics Officer facilitates overall strategy and executive leadership of quality initiatives, practice management and specialty economics for the entire organization. This will include leading the following departments: Analytics and Research Services including Methodologists, Practice Innovation and Implementation, Payment and Practice Management and Quality and Regulatory Affairs. The Chief will work hand in hand with the Chief Advocacy Officer and Chief Health Policy Officer collaborating on strategic initiatives and payment objectives. They will develop and maintain a comprehensive strategy to advance anesthesiologists' participation in private and public payer delivery and payment initiatives. They will also ensure goals and initiatives are aligned within the division and advance the ASA strategic plan.
