Position: Senior Vice President, Health Policy and Finance
Location: Naperville, Illinois
The Illinois Health and Hospital Association, with offices in Chicago, Naperville, and Springfield, Illinois, and Washington, DC, represents more than 200 hospitals and nearly 40 health systems as they care for their patients and communities. Its members range from major academic medical centers and teaching hospitals that train tomorrow's doctors and nurses to community hospitals that transform advances in medicine and technology into better lives for patients, rural and critical access facilities that bring high-quality patient care to the less populated regions of Illinois, and specialty institutions that care for patients in need of behavioral health, long-term care, or rehabilitation services.
Reporting to the president and chief executive officer of the IHA, the senior vice present for health policy and finance is responsible for strategically leading and managing the health policy and finance team by providing analytical leadership on strategic policy, advocacy, payment system, and health care reform issues affecting hospitals and health systems in the state, federal, and private sectors. The SVP will utilize leadership, policy expertise, and communication skills to initiate and respond to key policy proposals to enhance care delivery and advance the transformation of Illinois health care. The SVP will also design and implement bold and purposeful advocacy agendas and strategies, in collabo-ration with other internal teams, and will communicate such agendas and strategies to IHA leadership, membership, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
The next senior vice president for health policy and finance must possess a demonstrated experience in policy, advocacy and have a deep knowledge of health care delivery with focused experience in managed care
