Rush University Medical Center is a not-for-profit academic medical center and the hub of the Rush health system's patient care. The associate vice president of reimbursement oversees and is responsible for all activities of the Reimbursement Department for Rush University Medical Center and its affiliates. Reporting to the vice president of corporate finance, the AVP is primarily responsible for the administration and oversight of third-party payor reimbursement programs; the development, preparation, and analysis of the hospital's payor revenues and contractual allowance budgets; the analysis of net revenue figures for monthly financial statements; the identification of opportunities to enhance hospital revenues; and the provision of financial information to senior management, as well as assisting with other projects as assigned.
