As the nation's 13 largest nonprofit health system and fourth largest nondenominational health system, UnityPoint Health has committed to adapting and evolving in the changing healthcare landscape. Per Kevin Vermeer, CEO, healthcare organizations have two choices: to be "disrupted" or to be "disruptors"; UnityPoint has chosen to be a disruptor, with the goal of becoming the preeminent health system in the Midwest focused on its mission, values, and vision. UnityPoint's mission is to improve the health of the people and communities it serves, and the organization's team works together to practice and uphold the "FOCUS" values of Fostering Unity, Owning the Moment, Championing Excellence, and Seizing Opportunities, which will lead to the achievement of the system's vision to provide the "Best Outcome for Every Patient Every Time." UnityPoint Health is different compared to other systems because they make it easier and more personal to keep health on point.
