Wake Forest Baptist Health is a regional healthcare system anchored by the 885-bed tertiary care hospital and campus in Winston-Salem. This campus is home to the adult and pediatric Level I trauma centers and burn center, the 144-bed Brenner Children's Hospital, and a 167-bed Comprehensive Cancer Center, and serves patients in northwest North Carolina and southwest Virginia. In addition to the main campus, the network encompasses four community hospitals: the 50-bed Wake Forest Baptist Health Davie Medical Center in Davie County, the 351-bed Wake Forest Baptist Health High Point Medical Center in Guilford County, the 94-bed Wake Forest Baptist Health Lexington Medical Center in Davidson County, and the 130-bed Wake Forest Baptist Health Wilkes Medical Center in Wilkes County. Through a joint venture, Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital and Wake Forest Baptist acquired Alleghany Health, a 25-bed critical access hospital in Alleghany County, in 2018. Wake Forest Baptist also operates three urgent care centers; the emergency departments at more than a dozen community hospitals; maternal-fetal and neonatal units; freestanding dialysis, imaging, and endoscopy facilities; and, with Wake Forest Health Network's community practices, more than 232 primary and specialty care clinics.

Wake Forest Baptist's two main components are the integrated clinical system and Wake Forest School of Medicine, a recognized leader in experiential medical education and groundbreaking research that includes Wake Forest Innovations, a commercialization enterprise focused on advancing health care through new medical technologies and biomedical discovery.

In October of 2020, Wake Forest Baptist Health joined Atrium Health, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, as a single enterprise, Atrium Health. The new Atrium Health will care for patients at 42 hospitals and more than 1,500 care locations, reaching more than seven million people across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia through nearly 15 million patient interactions each year.

Job Description:

Reporting to the CHRO of Wake Forest Baptist Health (WFBH), the Vice President for Human Resource Business Partners will build, lead, and support Wake Forest Baptist Health's HR business partner team and serve as a trusted executive‐level advisor to senior leadership in aligning the HR business partner function to the broader HR and WFBH strategic goals.

This role will be focused on transformation, value, and strategy, and will require a high-performing executive to bring strategic value. This will involve working closely with others in the HR function to build highly effective HR services and talent strategies to help WFBH achieve its goal of strategic growth, both organically and through acquisition, and driving the use of those services and strategies throughout the organization.

The Vice President will be expected to work effectively with both direct and indirect teams to accomplish organizational goals – taking actions that respect the needs and contributions of others, contributing to and accepting the team's decisions, and subordinating personal objectives to the objectives of the organization or team. He or she will drive the attraction, development, engagement, and retention of strong talent that will define and drive business strategies enterprise-wide.
