Charles Lockwood, MD, MHCM has been placed as the CEO for University of South Florida Health and dean for the University of South Florida. Prior to this position, Dr. Lockwood held appointments at The Ohio State University and at The Ohio State University College of Medicine: dean, College of Medicine; vice president for health science; professor, obstetrics and gynecology; and Leslie H. and Abigail S. Wexner chair in medicine, respectively. As dean, he was responsible for oversight of the admissions, education and curricula of the medical students, biomedical science graduate students and both graduate and undergraduate students in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. He has also held roles as an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Yale University School of Medicine, New York University School of Medicine, Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Tufts School of Medicine. Dr. Lockwood has a BA from Brown University, received his MD from The University of Pennsylvania and holds an MS in Health Care Management from Harvard University, and has authored over 270 peer review publications. Dr. Lockwood and his wife enjoy sailing.
