Serving Chicago’s northwest suburbs since 1959, NCH is a not-for-profit healthcare system dedicated to providing outstanding care in their surrounding communities. Their comprehensive, patient-centered system of care has dozens of locations throughout the area. Together, NCH serves more than 200,000 outpatients and treat more than 20,000 inpatients annually. The hospital houses a Level III NICU, Level II Trauma Center and a dedicated pediatric emergency department.
In January 2021, NCH joined NorthShore University HealthSystem. Headquartered in Evanston, NorthShore is a fully integrated healthcare delivery system that includes six hospitals—Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, Skokie, Swedish and now NCH. Together, the NorthShore system provides clinical excellence and community-focused care across Chicagoland.

QLK congratulates Michael Canning, Patrick Dominick, and Andrew Reimink (with terms beginning January 1, 2022), and Wylecia Wiggs Harris and Anuradha Tripathi (with terms beginning July 1, 2022) on their election as trustees to the Northwest Community Healthcare Foundation Board of Trustees.
Michael Canning has been an owner and/or operator of four local restaurants for over a decade and has a background in marketing and executive compensation. He and his wife are active philanthropists, particularly regarding animal causes; they have chaired numerous events including the 40th Annual WHIRL event for the Chicago Zoological Society, and both serve on the board of PAWS Chicago. NCH is the hospital of choice for Michael and his family, who are all in the “Friends of the Foundation” program.
Patrick Dominick has over 20 years of sales and business development experience in the financial and banking industry and is currently a senior vice president and senior wealth strategist for Northern Trust in Barrington. He serves on the executive board of the Chicago Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and has worked with the Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation. Patrick is eager to share his knowledge of healthcare fundraising with NCH as a means of honoring the care his daughter has received over the years due to severe health issues.
Andrew (Andy) Reimink, who has a background in sales, is the CEO of HOH Water Technologies in Palatine, where he has been successful through cultivating relationships, generating creative ideas, and galvanizing stakeholders. As part of HOH, Andy has supported the nonprofit World Vision, which seeks to bring clean water to Africa and address the global water crisis; he is also active in his church’s children’s ministry. Andy’s wife is a speech pathologist within the NCH system.
Wylecia Wiggs Harris, PhD, currently serves as the CEO of the American Health Information Management Association, and has spent her career in nonprofit leadership roles, primarily dedicated to health care. Recognized for her ability to turn around and lead significant organizational change by diversifying revenue streams, fostering strategic partnerships, and cultivating exceptional talent, Wylecia has been named among 2021’s “Top Diversity Leaders” and 2022’s “Top Women Leaders” by Modern Healthcare. She has a passion for inspiring young women to become leaders, particularly women of color.
Anuradha (Anu) Tripathi has been involved in community service since a young age, founding a stationery business as a teenager to benefit the underprivileged in India; she has since given her time to a variety of charities, with a particular focus on women and seniors, including Meals on Wheels, Autumn Leaves memory care community, Share a Smile (for which she served as president for three years), and a vocational program in India. Professionally, Anu has managed two award-winning learning franchises for 15 years, and helped her husband launch his business, UST Aviation Services LLC, for which she continues to act as an advisor. As a cancer survivor, Anu feels a particular calling to serve as an ambassador for NCH’s planned cancer center.
