Leslie M. Stokes has recently been placed at the American Medical Association as senior vice president of physician engagement. In total, Leslie has more than 20 years of combined experience at Merck, Johnson & Johnson and Baxter Healthcare. Prior to her appointment, Leslie was with Baxter Healthcare for three years, where she was the director of global marketing in Deerfield for both the Nutrition and Renal businesses. She lead Baxter’s $300 million multi-chamber bag nutrition business and before that, its $230 million in-center hemodialysis and acute renal disease businesses. She also served on the Global Integration Team responsible for leading the acute strategies involved with Baxter’s acquisition of Gambro, a $4 billion project.
Her earlier career included broad and diverse experiences as new product development director for metabolic and CNS therapeutic areas with Johnson & Johnson; product, marketing and commercial responsibilities with McNeil in the areas of pediatrics, sickle cell disease, oncology supportive care and as McNeil’s consumer insights manager. Leslie holds a BS in Business Administration and Marketing from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in International Business from Temple University. Leslie lives in Chicago and in her spare time enjoys mentoring teenage girls and early career professionals.
