Timothy Jahn, MD, FACEP, FAAEM was recently placed at Baptist Health as the chief clinical officer. Dr. Jahn comes from Abrazo Health Care, the Phoenix, Arizona market for Vanguard Health Systems, where he was the system chief medical officer. Prior to that, he served as the chief medical officer/chief quality officer of Hospital Sisters Healthcare System – Eastern Wisconsin Division for five years. He was the lead administrative physician, and he implemented an antibiotic stewardship program that utilized infectious disease specialists and was operated through the pharmacy department, achieving cost savings and improving the overall quality of care delivered.
Dr. Jahn received his BS and then his MD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was offered a scholarship to serve with the United States Navy, and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the United States Naval Hospital in San Diego. He then went to the Naval Aeromedical Institute in Florida to fulfill his fellowship in Flight Surgery. For twelve years, he actively served as a flight surgeon and emergency physician during wartime. Dr. Jahn and his wife have an 8-year-old son, who plays baseball and hockey.
