Bryan Hughes was selected as an external board member for The Residential Real Estate Council (RRC), headquartered in Chicago. RRC is the largest non-profit affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®, offering education and networking to a membership of more than 28,000 residential real estate agents around the world, and administering the CRS designation, the most prestigious designation a real estate agent can achieve. In his role, Bryan will help set the direction for the Council and provide market-based tools and resources to members to allow them to thrive.
Bryan is currently a senior vice president with Associa in Dallas, Texas, North America’s largest property management company. In this capacity, he is responsible for the success of over 4,000 associates who serve in various roles throughout the central and western United States and Hawaii, and for P&L of over $500 million, overseeing merger and acquisition integration, operational and sales excellence, and culture improvement for 45 individual brands.
Originally from Seattle, Bryan began his career in real estate property management, subsequently holding the roles of director of sales for electronic security firm Sonitrol Pacific, owner’s representative for trust owners in the building of condominiums, strategic management consultant with HBA Promotions, regional director and vice president with Terminix, and president of the New England region of FirstServe Residential.
Bryan has served on the boards of the Topeka Riverfront Authority, Topeka Performing Arts Center, the Private Directors Association, and the National Association of Corporate Directors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a DBA from Bellevue University, as well as an MBA from Western Governors University and a Certificate of Corporate Governance from Cornell University. Bryan is certified as a Six Sigma Lean Black Belt Professional and a Project Management Professional.
QLK’s Mike Quick and Shay Owens led the search to recruit Bryan to RRC, where his term will begin on January 1, 2023.
