Navicent Health

Kevin Adams was placed as the associate vice president for strategic execution and eHealth at Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia. The not-for-profit Navicent Health is one of Georgia’s largest and most progressive community-based teaching hospital organizations, ranked among the top three hospitals in the state for quality of care and patient experience. It is anchored by the second-largest hospital in the state, The Medical Center, a 637-bed Level I trauma center and three-time Magnet-designated hospital for nursing excellence. Navicent also encompasses two critical access facilities, a freestanding rehabilitation hospital, home health, an inpatient hospice facility, three urgent care centers, a senior living community, and a 140-provider physician group. In his role, Kevin focuses on the development of targeted, strategic growth and tactical operations for the health system. He is responsible for undertaking a forward-looking approach to service line and strategic planning that supports the strategic direction of Navicent Health and its partners and affiliates, and he leads the development and acceleration of Navicent Health’s eHealth strategy, incorporating a range of applications and solutions.

Before joining Navicent, Kevin served as a systems of care administrator for PeaceHealth’s Columbia Network in Vancouver, Washington. PeaceHealth is a not-for-profit, Catholic health system offering care to communities in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska; the Columbia Network is a two-hospital region that includes a 450-bed Level II trauma center and a 346-bed Level III trauma center. In partnership with corporate executive staff and service line directors, Kevin was responsible for strategy and business development, and for maintaining an integrated network of service lines within the Columbia Network and across the communities served. He directed and controlled strategic development and execution, business planning, program development, capital development, and partnerships/affiliations, and worked with directors and managers on the operational implementation of all service lines. In addition, he led the neuroscience, orthopedics, and rehab service lines for the organization.

Previously, Kevin served as the system director of strategy and planning for PeaceHealth; as the strategy officer and practice administrator for Silverton Hospital’s Cascade Cardiology, LLC and director of strategic planning and marketing for Silverton Hospital Network in Salem, Oregon; as the corporate manager for product and strategic development for Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; as a master research analyst for Washington University School of Medicine’s Center for Health Policy in St. Louis, Missouri; as a strategy and business planning consultant for SW Associates in St. Louis; as the vice president of strategic planning and marketing programs for Channel Access in Los Gatos, California; as the president of ACS Technologies, a division of Advanced Communications Systems in Fairfax, Virginia; and as a systems and software engineer for VisiCom in San Diego, California. He began his career in the U.S. Navy’s communications branch.

Kevin is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. He earned his bachelor’s degree in information systems from the University of San Francisco, his MBA from the University of Redlands, and his MHA from Washington University School of Medicine. Kevin is a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Health Information and Management Systems Society. Outside of work, Kevin is an outdoorsman who enjoys hiking and kayaking. He also enjoys collecting and enjoying wine and is a self-described “foodie.”

QLK’s Courtney Lada led the search to recruit Kevin to Navicent, where he began his duties on January 30, 2017.
