Serving Chicago’s northwest suburbs since 1959, Northwest Community Hospital is a comprehensive, not- for-profit, patient-centered system of care with dozens of locations throughout the area, anchored by a 509-bed hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The health system, which serves more than 200,000 outpatients and more than 20,000 inpatients annually, provides award-winning care that has been recognized on a national level. In January 2021, NCH joined NorthShore University HealthSystem, a fully integrated healthcare delivery system headquartered in Evanston, Illinois, that now comprises six hospitals.
NCH is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors who are community members and business leaders who set the direction of the organization and each of its wholly owned affiliates and subsidiaries.
QLK congratulates Michael Tutty, PhD, on his election as a member of the Northwest Community Healthcare Board of Directors whose term will begin February 2023. Michael brings a rich background in healthcare and physician practice strategy and policy.
In 2013, Michael joined the American Medical Association as vice president of practice sustainability and was elevated into his current role as group vice president of professional satisfaction and practice sustainability the following year. Michael has launched new AMA products and resources, such as STEPS Forward and the Physician Innovation Network. He has led major research initiatives and served as a keynote speaker at national events. Michael attained a PhD in public policy from the University of Massachusetts. He also holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Clark University/University of Massachusetts Medical School and a bachelor’s degree in government from Western New England College.
