Patrick Ferguson was placed as the senior vice president of global commercial operations for Terumo Cardiovascular Group in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Terumo Corporation is one of the largest medical device manufacturers in the world, headquartered in Tokyo and serving over 160 countries. Its Cardiovascular Group develops, manufactures, and distributes medical devices for cardiac and vascular surgery, with an emphasis on cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-operative monitoring, and vascular grafting, and is the exclusive distributor of Vascutek® Vascular Grafts in the U.S.
Previously as EVP of global sales and marketing for CorMatrix Cardiovascular and in sales leadership roles with Medtronic and St. Jude Medical, Patrick brings deep commercial and market capabilities in the cardiovascular and electrophysiology space across a broad portfolio of products. He has led global teams seated in the U.S., EMEA, Latin America, and, more recently, China.
In his role, Patrick will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the global sales organization and for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving sales and marketing targets on a global basis. As a member of the Executive Committee he will oversee five international sales regions, as well as North America.
Patrick most recently comes to Terumo from a fully integrated regenerative medicine company and high-growth commercial entity focused on the development and commercialization of products in cardiovascular, orthopedic and other medical specialties. As vice president of sales, Patrick had global commercial responsibility and led a department of 50. He managed a new partnership with Boston Scientific and was involved in corporate strategy development relative to additional partnerships, acquisitions, and portfolio expansion.
