While at Baylor Scott & White, Ron drove significant financial improvement and garnered system-wide awards for quality improvement efforts, while also improving patient and employee satisfaction, achieving recognition on the Gallup and Sirota employee engagement surveys as a "best practice." Prior to his promotion to the vice president role, Ron served at Scott & White as the administrator of the Department of Surgery and the vice chair of finance and administration for the Department of Medicine.

Previously, Ron served as the executive director of the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at University of Louisville School of Medicine and in progressively responsible roles at University of Kentucky College of Medicine in total quality management and department administration.
