Andre Boyd was placed as vice president and chief operating officer of The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati, Ohio, an extensive network of 6,500 employees and 1,200 physicians serving patients in more than 100 locations including two hospital campuses, as well as outpatient centers and physician practices. The Network has been recognized with a first-place ranking in the region and fourth-place ranking in the state by U.S. News & World Report, as the “Most Preferred Hospital” in the region for 21 consecutive years via survey results from the National Research Corporation, as one of “America’s 50 Best Hospitals” by Healthgrades for 15 consecutive years for clinical quality, and with Press Ganey’s Guardian of Excellence Award for patient experience.
In his role, Andre will be responsible for the effective and efficient operations of the Network as a key participant in performance improvement, strategic planning, operational planning, policy development, and budget development and productivity monitoring work, establishing operational excellence and transformational activities that incorporate best practices in clinical and operational areas to improve patient experience; enhance patient, physician, and staff satisfaction; and foster positive physician engagement and relationships. He will also provide administrative and financial oversight for the development and deployment of high-quality, cost-effective, and clinically and operationally integrated services that meet the needs of the communities served.
Andre comes to The Christ Hospital Health Network from New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina, where he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer. In this capacity, he initiated a Just Culture program that notably elevated patient satisfaction, opened a freestanding joint venture imaging center, expanded and enhanced the organization’s surgical home model, and achieved significant cost savings.
Previously, Andre served as senior vice president and chief executive officer of Jackson North Medical Center in North Miami Beach, Florida; as chief operating officer and chief staffing officer for TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky; and as associate chief operating officer and ethics and compliance officer for Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. He began his career in service line leadership for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and for Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Andre holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, and a master’s degree in health administration from Tulane School of Public Health in New Orleans. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a member of the National Association of Health Services Executives. Andre and his wife are the parents of a young son and daughter.
